Zenith Green Bean Salad

My boyfriend and I eat this as a meal instead of a side or picnic salad

Serving Size : 2 or 4 people

1 pound of Green beans washed and cut
1/4 cup sesame oil
2 Tablespoons of Tamari or Bragg's Liquid Aminos
1/4 Teaspoon of Chili Flakes
1 Teaspoon of Liquid Sweetner (agave, maple syrup, etc.)
1 Teaspoon of Sesame Seeds

Essentially you are making a sesame soy vinegrette and tossing the washed and cut green beans in it. Let this mixture sit and marinate for a few hours in the fridge the extra time it takes to sit is worth it. When I am too hungry to wait I have been know to eat it right away, still yummy.

Re: do what you can:
When I started out, I had a really cool stainless steel one-piece Chinese cleaver. That was my food processor-- it just needs a *little elbow grease*! I still use it for small amounts, or when I am in a mood.
I did decide to buy an Excalibur right out of the starting gate. I actually had not seen any other choices, other than a "microwave dehydrator" which I bought, but have never opened, actually.
I have never regretted the expenditure on the Excalibur (it came with a 10 year warranty - how good is that? -- plus, you know that even the US government, the Hippocrates Institute, and other famous places use the Excalibur.
I saw one, tried something made in one, and started saving my money... it took me months, but I got my Excalibur, and I love it... use it at least weekly.
As for my other machines:
I got my Champion juicer on Ebay for $100 (a little less than I paid, with tax, for my Braun centrifigal juicer) It's a vintage 1970s model, and it works like a dream! (I bought a Champion because I saw that the company supports any model, of any year, i.e., something breaks, you can get a part that works for the machine you have -- btw, all the parts on my machine are original)
My food processor I bought at a local cut-out store.
Okay, I got a VitaMix.
(the money I saved on the juicer and the food processor helped me justify the Vitamix... you can find VitaMixes on Ebay)
